Rising to 287 feet, the SSF Biotech Campus is a defining new landmark in South San Francisco, strategically positioned between the 101 Freeway and the East Grand Avenue overpass. The project spans 941,880 square feet of advanced research and development space, purposefully organized around a central glass atrium. This expansive atrium, elevated above a two-story podium, serves as the physical and symbolic heart of the campus, fostering connectivity, natural light, and a dynamic sense of community.
Designed to meet the demands of today’s innovation economy, the building features a fluid, expressive façade inspired by DNA sequencing, a tribute to the pioneering research that will take place within. Its dynamic geometry becomes more articulated as the structure rises, echoing the elegance of genetic patterns. This sculptural approach balances technical precision with aesthetic expression, embodying the biotech industry’s convergence of science and creativity.
