Yamashiro Hollywood Residences is a tribute to nature, light, and the spirit of Hollywood living. Drawing inspiration from the original 1913 vision of the area’s first settlers—Yama-Shiro, meaning Mountain Temple—the project aspires to create a serene, elevated living experience seamlessly integrated into the hillside landscape.
The architecture echoes the form of a terraced garden, with horizontal slabs stepping up the hillside. These terraces establish a formal rhythm from which each unit emerges, subtly shifting inward and outward as the structure ascends. This movement allows each residence to engage uniquely with its surroundings.
At the crown of the building, a generous communal rooftop terrace brings residents together. Lush with vegetable gardens, native trees, and shaded seating areas, it offers both connection and retreat. Yamashiro Hollywood Residences is more than a place to live—it’s a thoughtfully designed environment that fosters a relaxed, vibrant community with panoramic views over Los Angeles.
