Fabel New York is conceived as a two-level hospitality destination occupying the sixth floor and rooftop of a building directly adjacent to the High Line in Chelsea. Rather than functioning as a conventional restaurant, the project is designed as a vertical experience that unfolds from an immersive interior dining environment into an open-air rooftop landscape above the city. Together, these two levels form a continuous journey that moves from intimacy and atmosphere to openness, light, and panoramic views of Manhattan.

The main restaurant level is organized as a sequence of carefully composed spaces that include a bar, dining rooms, wine cellar, and private dining areas. The architecture focuses on sculptural continuity, soft material transitions, and a calm, enveloping spatial character. Arched forms, textured surfaces, and controlled lighting create an interior that feels both contemporary and timeless, emphasizing atmosphere and sensory experience rather than visual noise. The layout allows guests to move fluidly between social and more intimate settings without breaking the overall spatial coherence.

At the heart of the interior experience is the relationship between architecture and hospitality choreography. The bar and dining areas are positioned as complementary anchors, allowing the space to function equally well for casual visits, long dinners, or private events. Circulation is designed as a gradual reveal, where spaces open into one another and perspectives shift subtly, reinforcing the idea of dining as a spatial journey rather than a static room.

Above, the rooftop extends the experience into the open air. Conceived as a true urban retreat, the roof deck combines outdoor dining, lounge areas, a bar, and a pool, all framed by expansive views over the city and the High Line. Here, the architecture becomes lighter and more extroverted, designed to capture light, sky, and movement while maintaining a strong sense of enclosure and comfort. The rooftop is not an accessory to the restaurant below, but its natural climax: an elevated social landscape in the skyline.

Together, the sixth floor and rooftop form a single, cohesive hospitality concept: an environment that shifts from inward to outward, from tactile and atmospheric to open and panoramic. Fabel New York is not just a place to eat or drink, but a carefully staged architectural experience that uses space, light, and sequence to redefine what a contemporary restaurant and rooftop destination can be in New York City.
